Accuracy and Technical Limitations of IP Geolocation

While this technology is generally reliable for identifying a country, its accuracy can be much lower when it comes to cities or regions. Indeed, Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and hosting companies frequently reassign IP addresses, which can cause significant discrepancies between the displayed location and the actual physical location. For example, a connection originating from Limoges might be detected as coming from Bordeaux or even Paris. This service remains useful as long as you keep this margin of error in mind.
