Definitions
Latency (Ping)
Ping measures the time it takes for a small data packet to travel to and from your device and the test server. The shorter this time, the more responsive your connection is.
Download Speed
Download speed indicates the amount of data your connection can receive per second. It ranges from a few megabits on ADSL to several hundred with fiber. A higher number means a better speed.
Upload Speed
Upload speed corresponds to the amount of data your connection can send per second, for example to transfer files, upload videos, or back up to the cloud. A high speed ensures faster uploads.
